Bollywood actress Jacqueline was born on 11th August 1985 in Manama Bahrain in a multiethnic family, his father Elory is musician he is from Sri Lankan and later moved to Bahrain and mother Kim is Malaysian. Jacqueline has two elder sister and one elder brother. She did her schooling in Bahrain and did her higher studies in mass communication from University of Sydney in Australia. At the age of 14 she started hosting TV shows. After completing her higher studies, she started working as television reporter in Srilanka.
She participated in Miss Universe Sri Lanka pageant in 2006 and came out as winner, she made her Bollywood debut with Aladin opposite John and Big B in 2009, this was the very flick that made her Bollywood actress, in 2011 she appeared in “Murder 2”, despite being criticized for bold act this very movie made her star overnight, than she appeared in comedy flick Housefull 2 in 2012,and in 2013 she appeared in action thriller Race 2, she received great applause for outstanding action and stunts scenes for the same she received IIFA Award for Best Supporting Actress. In 2014 she appeared opposite Salman Khan in Kick this movie managed to become blockbuster hit by entering 100 crore club in very short period, in 2016 she appeared in sequel Housefull 3 in 2017 she appeared opposite Varun Dhawan in Judwaa 2.
Apart from acting she has worked for endorsement of number of products, she has also judged Jhalak Dhikhhla Jaa and done number of stage shows with Bollywood top stars Salman, Akshay Kumar, Madhuri, Varun Dhawan etc.
Fernandez took acting training from John School of Acting where she was mentored by famous director Barry John.
In 2008 she was in news for dating Bahraini prince Hassan Bin Rashid Al Khalifa, in 2011 she was in news for having affair with filmmaker Sajid Khan.
Apart from acting she also work for number of NGO’s. In 2011 while supporting PETA she wrote a letter to MMC commissioner asking for to stop horse-drawn carriage practice in Mumbai. In 2013 she came forward contacted consulate general of the Philippines, William John T Perera in Colombo, requested to stop shifting elephant from Manila Zoo to a humane sanctuary. She has also raised 4000 pounds for the Pratham NGO, which works for providing primary education to children.
She is fitness freak, for the same she always take some time off from her busy schedule, for fitness she prefer Yoga and Gymnast.
In 2014 she opened restaurant “Kaema Sutra” in Colombo, for the same she collaborated with Chef Dharshan Munidasa.
She also appeared on cover of UK popular magazine Eastern Eye’s “World’s Sexiest Asian Women” she captured 12th place, than she managed to get third place in The Times Of India contest listed for the “Most Desirable Woman” in 2013 and 2014. Same year she managed to capture 62nd place in Forbes celebrity in term of popularity and income.
In 2018 she appeared in Race3 and Drive. This she also introduce her clothing line “Just F.”
Actress is all set with her upcoming project Dancing Dad opposite Salman Khan, this project will release on 4th June 2019.
