Padman is based on short story written in Twinkle Khanna’s book “The Legend of Lakshmi Parsand” titled  “The Sanitary Man of Sacred Land”, which showcase story of Indian Padman  Arunachalam Muruganantham,  social activist who brough revolution in  concept of menstrual hygiene in rural India by creating a low-cost sanitary napkins machine.
