Shabana Azmi’s Mother Passed Away

Mother of Bollywood legendry actress Shabana Azmi passed away yesterday on her residence situated in Juhu she was not doing well from past few days, she was in hospital and later shifted on home where she took her last breath.

According to reports 91 years Shaukat Kaifi passed away on Friday she was mother of Shabana Azmi and wife of renowned Urdu peot and Bollywood lyricist Kaifi Azmi. News of Shaukat Kaifi demise was confirmed by his son-in-law Javed Akhtar.

Shaukat Kaifi was theatre artist, she has worked with IPTA (Indian People’s Theater Association) apart from this she was active member of (PWA) Progressive Writer’s Association.

She was also part of project “Gum Hava”, “Umrao Jaan” “Bazaar” and “Salaam Bombay” apart from flick she appeared in number of plays.

In 2002 she wrote autobiography “Kaifi aur Main”

Last rights of Shukat Kaifi will take place today.

She last appeared in Saathiya which released way back in 2002.
