Varun Dhawan To Portray Dhayan Chand

According to latest buzz Varun Dhawan is all set to play character of legendry hockey player Dhayan Chand, this project will me made under banner of Dharma Productions.

According to sources few months back Karan approached Ranbir Kapoor to play character of Dhayan Chand, however actor declined the offer, after Ranbir’s reject Karan contacted Varun and offered him a role, he immediately accepted offer as actor was found very keen to portray Dhayan Chand.

According to reports Varun not only went through script himself, he also narrated script to his father David Dhawan who immediately told Varun to go for it. After finalizing him Karan approached Fox Star Studio as they were very keen to start with it.

According to reports apart from Ranbir, Karan also discussed it with Shah Rukh Khan, he also did not showed any interest; however Karan was aware that SRK will go for it as he done movie on Hockey theme before, but he refused to do it.
